Tony Palmeri.Com Update For June 10, 2004
1. Palmeri on Eye on Oshkosh: I had a grand time being interviewed by former Oshkosh Mayor Melanie Bloechl and Valley journalist Cheryl Hentz for their "Eye on Oshkosh" program. The interview can be seen on Oshkosh Cable Access Television channel 2 on Monday, June 14th at 7 p.m., Thursday, June 17 at 1 p.m., and Saturday, June 19th at 6 p.m. If you're in the viewing area please do tune this one in as it's an hour of old fashioned rabble rousing.
2. What's Up With The Dems?: Anyone who doubts the grassroots appeal of the Time For Tony campaign should read the letters to the editor section of the Oshkosh Northwestern. The big-D Dems (these are the literally handful or less of Democrats in town who vote for labels as opposed to what they say they believe in) are now in panic mode, taking petty cheap shots at my candidacy and at me personally. It's really pathetic, but it mirrors what has happened to the big-D Dems at the state level and nationally. If you don't believe me, take a look at what life long Democrat Ed Garvey has to say: http://www.fightingbob.com/weblog.cfm?PostID=633
Or try the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign: http://www.tonypalmeri.com/demscave.htm
And finally, if you want to see letters that don't insult the intelligence of the voter, check out these:

3. Palmeri Speech Against AJR 66: My speech at the May rally against AJR 66 is now online. Depending on you computer's strength, this could take a while to load: http://www.tonypalmeri.com/examples/video/tony-%20gay%20rights%20protest.mpg Warning to the Big-D Dems: In the speech I take some pretty strong stands against discrimination and for equal rights. We know how upset you get when candidates pledge to fight for something. You probably shouldn't listen as we don't want your feelings to get hurt!
4. It's Not A Witch Hunt If There's A Witch: My latest Media Rant for the Valley Scene takes the local media to task for its years of PR flackery for former Winnebago County DA Joe Paulus: http://www.tonypalmeri.com/mediarants26.htm
In response to that column I was interviewed live by Jay Van Stiphout at WHBY radio on Wednesday, received an angry email from Post-Crescent reporter Dan Wilson (who claimed essentially that I don't know what I'm talking about), and received an email of praise from former Paulus nemesis Sheila Berry. She said in part, "Corrupt officials can be voted out of office. What can be done with the 'journalists' (they don't deserve the title) who are in their pockets?" Excellent questions. Sheila actually has a Truth in Justice website that's worth a look: http://www.truthinjustice.org/
5. We Need To Reclaim The Second Bill Of Rights: Excellent piece by law professor Cass Sunstein. He talk about FDR, a Democrat who would have been shunned by today's big-D Dems: http://www.tonypalmeri.com/sunstein.htm
