5. OASD Candidates' Forum: The Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education is sponsoring a forum for candidates running in the 53th and 54th Assembly Districts. According to the invitation, "Our intent is to have an informal discussion, with questions and concerns brought to you from the audience, although you would start with a three-minute introduction of yourself and your platform. This format is not a debate, but an opportunity for you to describe what you believe to be the most important problems facing education in the Fox Valley today and what you would do to solve them." The event will be held on Monday, August 30th at the Oshkosh Area School District Board Room, 215 North Eagle St. at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
