Harris asleep at the wheel AGAIN!

I can't believe that Mr Harris has had the nerve to make his most recent statements as quoted in the NW on 9/7/05. Let me see if I again understand this shell game he is playing? Mr Harris was an elected member of the County Board during the ratification of the last budget, BUT....he and the other supervisors were unaware of the matrix system by which the employees are being compensated?! Mr Harris you are an out right liar! You know full well that this matrix system is not unlike that which the City of Oshkosh uses for its employees. A system you have continued to support without question.

Evidently, you were not bright enough as a CPA, to even ask the questions that begged to be asked during the budget deliberations for the County. Even though you had at least 4 budget cycles worth of experience with the City of Oshkosh. Shame on you for even thinking for one second that a lame excuse of "we simply weren't aware" would remotely fly. It simply is a bold face lie, and you had the obligation to do your homework for previous and present budgets.

You are doing nothing but taking an easy politicians way out of a mess you, by your own admission, helped to create. Sales tax is not the answer for Winnebago County. You will create a horrible tax island and further put all of us at a greater competitive disadvantage. Wise up, Wake Up and do the work that comes with the TITLE.
